CV Geert Berckmans:

Geert Berckmans is Senior Global Business Development Manager for SGS – Transparency One, the leading platform for supplier engagement based upon consumer trust and the largest verification and inspection company. Geert is responsible for the TIER I alliance program with Brands and Retailer of SGS – Transparency One.

Geert has over 20 years experience in the Hi-tech industry and has played a significant role in the go-to-market strategy of key start- & scal-up companies such as Blippar, Intershop, Mercuri (HP), Rational (IBM) and Business Objects (SAP).

Prior to SGS – Transparency One, Geert was advisor to Executives of software companies, investing in the international roll out of their businesses. Contracting Tier I customers as Mercedes, Carrefour, Mediamarkt, Philips to use the software solutions. Partnering with EY, Accenture, Javelin, Deloitte to scale the delivery of projects. He created new value propositions based upon the available technology. Its within this context that SGS – Transparency One developed the Smart packaging models with the help of Augmented Reality technology.
